All of you have shared very nice and effective tips here are some more SEO tips.......
1 Search keywords correctly
2 Think what your visitor really want
3 Build quality back links , not just back links
4 Use some link building software
5 If you dont know anything about SEO , then outsource your SEO project
6 Make the ad placement proper on your website
7 use Multiple domains
8 Not anchor text
9 Newsletters
10 Social bookmarking

Thanks for sharing some more useful tips but I am totally disagree with the use of automated submission software. It is not good, if you use such sort of software. However, when you install these software, just find-out/search for their database. Copy all the websites and submit manually. This act will show you which website is up and which one is facing problem. Smiley

What you have been posted here suitable for beginner. SEO can be say as unpredictable. Sometimes, a site doesn't has any backlink and poor quality content which is only 5-6 sentences rank higher on SERP. But I noticed that IP address plays an important role in SEO if you want rank better. If your site is about making money, then it is advised to move your hosting to SEO hosting. Maybe the monthly fee bit expensive, but I believe you will amaze with the results. So always afford for a SEO hosting if you really want rank your site at #1.

i din concentrate about these works but i have heard before. As you mentioned that these tips will be helpful more SEOs.
