using mambo login and seeing new messges

hello,
I would like to use mambo's original login but at the same time to have the ability to see on the site a messege like this

"Hey, alon, you have 0 messages, 0 are new.
Show unread posts since last visit.
Show new replies to your posts. "

Is there a way to do it ? Maybe a skinned version of one of the modules ?

Just use the optional login module. You can configure it to display links you want.
