Index page of Joomla coming up blank after patch

Hi there guys after install this component and patching the index.php file of joomla all i get is a blank screen on my main page. 

I have tried uploading the included index.php file for my version of joomla but that has the same effect.

If i navigate straight to the forum using the link in joomla it load fine, but i cant seen to get the users synced

Any ideas would be great..

Did you ever fix this issue? I'm having a similar problem when I try to log in as admin for the forum from Joomla.
