unable to verify tables

Hi -
I'm trying to install the bridge to SMF, but I get the following error message upon verification:

Failed:Error verifying user synchronization.: db_error:Table \'sunnymin_joom3.smf_members\' doesn\'t exist SQL=SELECT count(*) FROM smf_members LEFT JOIN jos_users ON jos_users.username=smf_members.me


The error also reads that I am using the incorrect prefix.  I have this set as smf_

here's more of the error message:
