First there was SMF, now Zen Cart?
« on: June 27, 2007, 12:28:26 PM »

Hello everyone!

I hope that the number of posts by me does not turn anyone off to reading this post.

I have successfully used the SMF component in Joomla for a couple of different sites andhave been VERY pleased with it.  I especially love the CB plug in capabilities.  In my mind it's the best way to implement a forum and community on a site.

That said, I would like to bring up the idea of doing te same thing with ZenCart.  I have used and fought with VirtueMart and have been greatly let down.  I don't like it at all.  I have recently discovered the joy that is Zen Cart.  It did EVERYTHING out of the box that I have spent hours attempting to with VirtueMart.

The one thing I don't like about zen is that it's difficult (that is for the average user) to add "Content" like what J! does so well.

All of these are probably arguments that people used when they first started developing the SMF component, and I figure, why not do it again.  Ayone out there interested inpursuing such a venture?

In the interest of full disclosure, I am not a programmer, so I don't know how much I could assist other than bug testing and feature development.  If any one is interested, please let me know and lets get rolling on this!
