Can't patch Joomla source files! Help!

when i click the button to patch Joomla source files, i get this error:

my index.php file is chmod to 777 but it still gives me that error ><

Please searche the forums this question is asked severall times and is also covered in the User Guide Wink We also supply an pre-patched Index.php for Joomla!

Problem? CHECK HERE FIRST!

I've had a search and am receiving the error. I am unable to use the patched index.php as my index.php file is already patched by Joomla SEF. Are their any manual instructions for patching the index.php with for CB SMF bridge?
