integration between SMF, Joomla! and CB
« on: May 23, 2007, 05:49:39 PM »

hi all,

I have SMF 1.1.2, Joomla! 1.0.12 and CB 1.0.2.
I have installed this component in the 2.0.2 version from JoomlaHacks to make integration between SMF and Joomla!. moreover, I have installed the following CB plugins:

http://www.joomlahacks.com/component/option,com_remository/Itemid,41/func,fileinfo/id,457/
http://www.joomlahacks.com/component/option,com_remository/Itemid,41/func,fileinfo/id,462/

for the integration between CB and SMF. moreover, I have set that the module for login and registration must be the CB one. in the end, I have synchronized the users of SMF with the users of Joomla! via the JoomlaHacks component.

the problem is that when a user do a registration to the Joomla! portal, this is not automatically registered to the forum.

how can I proceed? where's the problem?
thank you so much. :)

in orstio's bridge for joomla-smf, the user is added to smf only once he logs in, not when he registers. That's how the bridge works...

perhaps, the same principle applies to JSMF too!

Hi there.

I am trying to install this but each time I try I get the com_smf location is already there. I've tried renaming com_smf and cannot find a way to uninstall it.

Can anyone help please?
Many thanks.

So why quote a true fact! The JSMF integration is indeed good.

Please uninstall the component. then using an ftp client traverse through your installation in this manner /home/mysite/public_html/administrator/components/

Delete the com_smf folder inside it.
