Username or Email Address already exists in SMF

After upgrading to 2.0.2 many users got this error:
JSMF CB Plugin error::Username or Email Address already exists in SMF.

I do understand what does it mean, but there was no errors on my previous version (2.0) of bridge.

The same emails feature is allowed in my Joomla config.

How can I avoid this problem for my users? Thank you.

did you searched the forums? this all ready answered many times Wink

first check global configuration
Require Unique E-mail:

Sure I checked the forum before...

Require Unique E-mail is set to Off.

I am using CB. Plus: When someone is trying to register a new user with the e-mail wich is already used for registration before he is getting
"SMF CB Plugin error::Username or Email Address already exists in SMF" in popup windows as well.

I can't avoid the same problem despite my correct global configuration. Is there an answer that could help me ?
(It's not very easy for me to search in an english forum...)

just set in your admin panel in global configuration
Require Unique E-mail: NO

I am having that same problem. It's not that a new user is registering with the same email for me. When someone clicks on the Lost Password link I get that same error.
