INSTALATION PROBLEM

everytime i try installing com_smf_2.0 it tells me this

Upload component - Upload Failed
ERROR: Could not find an XML setup file in the package.
[ Continue ... ]
Upload component - Failed
Installation file not found:
/mounted-storage/home51b/sub001/sc35022-XMQK/www/media/install_463dc3c2584df/
[ Continue ... ]

what is the name off the file you try to install .. Full name please. seems you try to install the downloaded file? you have to unpack it... Please read the user guide for more info

Hi,

I have the same error. I downloaded JSMF_2_0_RC3_1_unzip1st and unzipped it. I then did a component add (after reading the user guide) and I get the same error after uploading the com_smf_2_0.zip

:-( any ideas

The plugin you are referencing has to be installed through the Community Builder interface, not through the standard Joomla Plugins.

Go to Components > Community Builder > Plugins Management. Scroll down until you see the browse button. Now install just as you were before. This should work for you.
