| Hi, I thought I'd share my experience here--might be worth a few small changes to avoid problems for "newbies" like me. On my system, when you go to the components/installation box where you are supposed to click on the text to install the patches, the whole line of text looks like a hyperlink and is clickable. If you click on the text the browser will sometimes "react" slightly, giving the impression that something has happened (that is, that the patch was installed). This caused me hours of trouble trying to get the thing to work until I realized that only the leftmost part of the text was really clickable--and once you clicked on it you see a green "patch installed" feedback. I recommend you make the main text non-clickable and make the patch link a button and/or have something like "patch NOT installed" written there... This is stuff that is obvious to Joomla programmers but can cause all sorts of silly posts on support boards for non-experts! I know... Now that it is working it seems to work well--very cool! --Darin |
