Argg...Bad characters in modules.
« on: March 13, 2007, 09:57:31 PM »

Hi! (sorry for my bad english)

I just have installed JSMF 2.0.2 and lastest versions of SMF and joomla.

I see all the forum perfectly.. but some characters appears bad in Joomla (main menu and other modules).

It only happens when I am showing the forum.
I also see bad characters in the Admin Backend (again only with the JSMF component).

Seems to be a UTF-8 problem... but what can I do?.
I have all DB,Joomla,SMF... with UTF-8.

This is my forum:
http://www.trevino-online.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,165/
For example...See the Module title... Identificación it becomes..Identificacin when I'm showing the forum.

dunno if this has something to do with it, but your meta charset is iso-8859-1 instead of utf-8.

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />

I have tried all. But nothing works.
I think it's a problem of the JSMF Component.
It has problems even in the back end.I have installed more that 100 mod. and components ....and JSMF it's the only one that shows extrange characters.

JSMF is the only one loading two separate pieces of software that handle the display of characters differently.  You're right, chances are that is the problem.
