"Article characters quoted" doesn't work

Hi,

I've installed the new Discussbot (2.0.3). When I add 0 in the "Article characters quoted" field, it shows the whole article in forum. If I enter another number, it ignores that and the whole article gets displayed again. How can this happen? My J!SMF Version is 2.0.

hmmm, you should upgrade to JSMF 2.0.2 however that is not associated with this issue.  Based on the code, the only way the entire article would be quoted is if the value was set to -1.  Double check that you have discussbot 2.0.3, I believe that is the version I fixed that in.

Mhm...I installed the bot again (2.0.3). It doesn't work. I can show you the site, if you want.

I can confirm this error also.

Joomla version: 1.0.12
SMF version: 1.1.2
Joomla-SMF version: 2.0.2
Discussionbot version: 2.0.3

I can confirm this as well.  I am using Discussbot 2.0.3.  Any ideas?

Yes this is an annoying problem. Another good option would be one that quoted only the intro text of the article. Has any further work been done on this mambot?
