Using CB, need user referral system.

Hello,
I currently am working on a site and am using CB for the user management.  I'd like to have a system when UserA can refer UserB to the site and then when registering, UserB enters UserA as his referrer and the following will happen:

1. The database is queried to find UserA in the users table
2. The field Referrals for UserA will increase by 1
3. The field Referred for UserB will contain UserA

How can I do this?
