how to get SMF bridge to work if Joomla & SMF use seperate DB's?
« on: February 21, 2007, 10:21:46 AM »

Hi all

I use Fantastico to install Joomla & SMF (and would prefer to keep it this way, cause it makes it easy to update)

So, I installed the bridge, but it seems like it wants to have both installed on the same DB. So, now my question is, what to I need to hack / modify to tell the bridge my SMF is using a different DB?

Fantastico not the best option to install Joomla! or SMF. There are several Topics about that Wink

And installing in separate databases this one is on the road map. @ this moment you have to install Joomla! And SMF in the same database. If you want to use the Bridge

ok, that doesn't really help me much. Maintaining a few hundred domains is a pain in the neck as it is already, so using fantastico todo the updates just makes life (or work, rather) easier.

do you know when it will be able to work on 2 DB's? Unfortunately the other SMF-Joomla bridge doesn't work that well with CB, so I want told to try this one.

Sorry I can’t tell you when the Developer is going to work @ it. (This information is not known @ this moment)  It is on the road map. So we all have to wait
