A user Login Issue

What I want to do is hide the user login, actually treat it the same way the administrator login is.  I don't want it visible on the page.  I do still want users to be able to log in and edit content.  We have to take this joomla stuff to the sys admins, and I know they are not going to like it just because it has a login prompt visible on the page.    Any help offered would be great.
