Is it possible to connect SMF and Joomla trought JSMF 2.0.2. if the joomla and smf are not installed in the same base?

joomla web address is www,something,com
forum web address is www,something,com/forum


... and i want it stays like that ...

it's been 6months since I checked for updates.
currently i'm using:

Your Joomla version is: 1.0.15
Your SMF version is: 1.1.4
Your Joomla-SMF version: 2.0.2.1
So i'm thinking to upgrade mine.

Just a quick question, is it compatible with:

There are users that are running this versions on there website.

Please note this is not official tested. When upgrading always make an backup of all your files and you database.
