I'm currently on the Virtue Mart's Joomla-1.0.12_eCommerceEdition_VM-1.0.10 and SMF 1.1.2 along with JSMF 2.0.2.

Am having problems patching the Joomla Source Files with the following error returned:-
Quote
Failed: Code to be patched not found in file: $message = intval( mosGetParam( $_POST, 'message', 0 ) );/home/somesite/public_html/shop/index.php

Joomla is installed on path /home/somesite/public_html/shop
SMF is on /home/somesite/public_html/shop/forum

Can anyone please help?  Embarrassed

Could be the account running as the webserver doesn't have r/w access to index.php file.

SSH in and set the file to 777 to see if it will patch it.

Hi...

i am getting hundreds of errors in my smf error logs like this ones:

Quote
8: Only variable references should be returned by reference
Archivo: /home/myuser/public_html/includes/domit/xml_domit_lite_parser.php
Línea: 916
?option=com_smf&Itemid=236&lang=en

and:

Archivo: /home/myuser/public_html/includes/domit/xml_domit_lite_parser.php
Línea: 928
?option=com_smf&Itemid=236&lang=en

The error log grows to a few megabytes in just a couple of days...something is wrong  Lips Sealed

Any suggestions/idea?
Cheers.

What directory do you have SMF installed in?
Normal setups have Joomla installed from root of site and smf in a sub directory from root of site.

yes, I have smf installed in a subdirectory.

Joomla is in /home/myuser/public_html
SMF is in /home/myuser/public_html/_foros

I think that is supposed to be like that.
Thanks,

Hi all,

Since this week I use SMF as forum on Joomla. I installed Joomla-SMF 2.0.2 bridge. After Installation I added a handful of accounts on Joomla, and those are now usable on SMF. But I can not log in into Joomla any more. And when I look into the database, I see the accounts in the joomla_users table and in smf_members. So does anyone know what the problem is?

Lucky me. I can log in as Administrator again (But only when I use http://www.mysite.org/administrator/   Angry ). I can absolutely not access my website using the front end log in module.

Some data:

    * Joomla: 1.0.12
    * SMF: 1.1.3
    * JSMF: 2.0.2
    * PHP: 2.8.2.4
    * MySQL: 4.1.21-standard

The doc that came with the bridge is very good.
Review it again to make sure you didn't miss any steps.

When you say you can't login what is the end result when you do?
A blank page?

Your sites php error log might help.  be sure to have eoor logging enable in your PHP setup.
You also might want to turn up debug on Joomla to see if it helps to diagnose the issue.

AFAIK I followed the installation documentation to the letter. The error message I get is:

"You are not authorised to view this resource
You need to login"
A rather standard error report.

Where do I find the php error log?

Assuming you have SSH access to your server see if you etc\php.ini has this enabled.

Code:
; Log errors into a log file (server-specific log, stderr, or error_log (below))
; As stated above, you're strongly advised to use error logging in place of
; error displaying on production web sites.
log_errors = On
The default name if not specified is error_log.
If enabled it will write a error log.

Open a shell session and run this from the root of the drive file system.
[root@myserver /]# find -name error_log

This will find all error_log files.

Depending on your setup (plesk for example) will store the error_log under the sites folders.
