Just take a look in the configuration of the Bridge. Seems that you are trying to use the Css from Joomla. And Joomla has not defiend all Class Id's off SMF
In the admin panel of joomla go to Components and then the SMF bridge configuration. there you can chows if you want to use the Joomla Css or SMF css. Did you checked this. More info you will find in the user guide
No... No... I just desabled the SMF CSS bicose I wont to use the style of the Joomla template. The problem is in the definition of a specific templaste for the forum: a templeta with the "original" css set but without the menu at left. I assigned this specific template from Joomla Admin pannell ->Assigned template.
Now, this configuration run an only time: in "homepage" of the forum.
This the problem! You can verify if you want to read the post in the Forum.
What bridging does NOT do: * Modify your Joomla template and SMF theme to make everything look perfect together. You MUST modify your own templates and themes to make your site look good. At the very least, if you are running your forum "wrapped", you will need to remove duplicate CSS calls (such as to BODY, TR, and TD) from your CSS files.

My problem is simple: I use two templates, the first one is "default" for the whole site and the second it is "assigned" only to the Forum.
The second template, apart the header and the footer page, is a whole page without users neither to the left neither to the right. In this way the whole forum is visualized in an only page.
Well: this solution works fine ONLY in the home page of the forum.
Problem: is it a ny error or in the modmality "wrapped" of the Bridge it is not possible to assign a particular template to the SMForum "bridged" in Joomla?
So, excuse me, but I don't believe that your answers concern this problem.

no, we understand you perfectly fine... on my site, I copied my default template and edited it to then assign it to my forums and only my forums, it's working fine and there are no hitches at all. However, I have the smf css called, not my joomla template css. SMF uses different functions and such than joomla does, you will need to manually edit whichever css you decide to use including all requirements for both smf and joomla and removing any duplicates
to see what I'm talking about, just look at the differences in both files... it's going to take some work to make either one of them conform to a wrapped forum but you'll have to do the work yourself. No smf template will fit seamlessly into joomla and no joomla template will fit seamlessly into smf
I have yet to actually configure my smf css because my forum has only been up for a couple of days. If the template is only working on the home page of your forums, then something is seriously messed up with the css that smf is trying to pull out of your joomla css, it is needing certain things that are not there

Default template has 3 columns (T1) Forum template has 1 column (T2)
Forum is assigned the T2 template and it works fine until you click inside the forum, then the T1 template is used.
There is no issue with the css of either the template wrapped round the forum nor the forum itself ... just that the T1 becomes the default not T2 which has been assigned.
I can see where Maurizio is coming from and it's not the css nor the template design that is the problem it's that the assigned template isn't being kept by the SMF.
My problem with your approach is I don't see how the css of the forum will influence the choice of the template assigned by Joomla.
Is there any SMF related codeI need to apply to the template itself?
I have the same issue as everyone else...two templates, one default for the rest of the site and one assigned to SMF. When any link is clicked on the homepage of the forum, SMF begins to use the default template instead of the assigned one.. Any help?
I would like to use a two column template for the main site, and a one column template for the wrapped forums. So I assigned my one column template to the 'Forum' item of my Top Menu, and sure enough, when a user clicks on 'Forum' Joomla switches to the second template and all is fine.
But then as soon as the user clicks on any forum or message, Joomla reverts back to the first template. I have been trying to solve this for a few hours now, and I would very much appreciate any help anyone can offer.
