I'm in the process of transferring a Joomla installation from one site to another site on the same server (if that makes sense). So really, it is similar to a simply changing the directory, since the database is on the same shared hosting account.
Using the repair_settings.php file for the SMF install, the transfer was easy and Simple Machines Forums is now working. Though, Joomla is not working.
I have transferred Joomla sites from one directory to another, and this is the first time I am having a problem. I have changed the Joomla configuration.php file to reflect the paths and URL and verified that with the SMF repair_settings.php settings but am still getting the error shown below after searching and modifying files for the last three hours.
Does anyone have any advice as to what I need to do? Thank you.
Warning: main(/home/XXX/XXX/html/dirt/smf/SSI.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/XXX/XXX/unlimiteddirt.com/html/offroad/index.php on line 59
I'm thinking this issue is associated with the bridge configuration. Any clue as to whether this may be the issue and where I might be able to modify the file for the bridge?
I've looked through every file that I have seen but haven't come across a solution. Thanks.
Okay. After overlooking it for a while, I found the configuration in the database under jos_jsmf_config. I went a changed the configuration to the new relative path but must have saved it wrong, since I do not see the value in there anymore.
Unfortunately, after changing the value the problem still exists and I see what may be an error I may have caused, which is listed in the quote.

More than one FULLTEXT key was created for column `config`
If I cannot get this to work through the database and if this is the reason why I cannot access Joomla, how can I remove the component and reinstall once I get Joomla running?
Hmmm. This was the trick. It's now working. I hope this helps others by saving them time and headaches.
I still have a question: Should I remove the extra data in MySQL (config_2...)? If so, how should I do that? By simply deleting the additional keynames (config_2,config_3...)?
Also, if there isn't one already, can someone clean this up and make an FAQ out of it? Thanks.
If you change the absolute path to smf you must change it in JSMF configuration in Joomla Admin->Joomla-SMF Forum->Configuration. That would have solved your problem.
Yes. Thank you. I did realize that but assumed I would be able to do this after the transfer. But now looking at it, I would have then wound up with the same problem, right? When should this have been done?

The smf-bridge do not work for me after a move to a new domainname - I have to say i did make an upgrade to 1.1.14RC!. The bridge I use is : 2.0.2 Dec 2006
Right now I have uninstalled the bridge, installed it again, but stil it does not accepts logon to either of the 2 systems (joomla and smf) when the bridge is active (when inactive its possible to login to either joomla or smf)
In admin interface to joomla ->Joomla-SMF Forum->Configuration.Optional: Synchronize Joomla and SMF users(username or real name). I ends in and erropage, it does not return anything....
In mysql I notice the table jos_jsmf_config is emty, is that correct ?
So how can I get it to work ? I do not believe its 1.0.14R1 which gives the problem. I must have missed out something.
This is a guess. While you deleted the component, the MySQL table may have emptied but not deleted. Then, when you reinstalled, it was unable to perform the complete operation of creating the table and its fields, since the table was already created. Therefore, you end up in your circumstance with a table that has no data.
Thank for the reply. But I does not help. Someone must have had the same experience ? I think it is strange I can not uninstall it and install it again and thereby have a clean bridge. Where should I delete manually ?
