Ok..... here is the deal, I don't have a dedicated host either!  Every shared host I have ever worked with has configured access to the php error_log either by default or upon request.  I can't believe you would chastise me for trying to get the information to help when you probably haven't requested access to your php error_log from your host which you are paying!  If I was paying someone I would demand access to the logs from my website. 

Additionally, checking www.php.net you would have found these topics about how to use/handle/manipulate/find the error_log:

All that could have been done without ever posting a topic.  Instead you posted like 5 to which I told you in each, check the normal procedures for finding and identifying problems of these sorts.

my other thread lists two methods to set magic_quotes_gpc at runtime, either in your .htaccess file or in your joomla index.php.
