Unable to load the 'main' template error + second administrator

Hello and thanks for a great bridge!

I just completed to install the SMF. It is my new year present I guess Grin

I have 2 questions:

1. I am getting the "unable to load the 'main' template" error when saving admin configurations. I saw this comment on this error:

"This problem remains unresolved however accessing the administration directly will allow you to save without this error message".

How do I access administration directly?

2. I would like to make one of the regular members of the forum an administrator of it, how can I do it? (at the moment I have one administrator, me, and I would like to add a second administrator who is registered at the moment as a regular member of the forum).

to access the forum via the bridge you use a link like this

http://www.yoursite.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=123

to access the forum directly or standalone the link will be like this

http://www.yoursite.com/forum/index.php

To make SMF admins do it in SMF administration.

I am trying to access the forum directly or standalone, using the link http://www.doctorsimcha.com/forum/index.php but it keeps directing me to the homepage... any clue?

About the second question. Yeah, I am in the admin, but I can't figure out how to add a second admin. I looked into the SMF manual, couldn't find an answer Roll Eyes

what is the folder you have installed SMF ?

http://mydomain.com/mySMFfolder/index.php

Sorry, I am silly, I called the folder Forum with a capital F.. I was not aware it is case sensitive Shocked

But now when I try to login through the stand alone screen it wouldn't work. I click on login and it keeps forwarding me to my hompepage. Only on the site itself it allows me to login...

I updated the my answer about the second issue, can you please take a look?

you click on the accout you want to add to the administrators
then;
-Account Related Settings
--Primary Membergroup:

And when the users also needs admin in Joomla do this in the admin panel of Joomla and give the user Super Admin rights

Hi! I am back from a new year vacation with all the energies to fix my forum Grin

I followed your advise - login in the homepage and then passed to the standalone, and indeed I was logged in. But when I click on admin in the SMF standalone, it throws me back to the homepage, so I don't manage to access the admin through the standalone. Any clue Huh
