The first problem is, when anyone registers and tries to log in, they get the error message "Username does not exist", so I've resorted to registering accounts for people.
I just recently added a new board and a new child board, and ever since, when a new members tries to log in they get the message "Please complete username and password feilds", which they had already done.
That is a limitation of Joomla registration because Joomla does not provide any method for synchronizing users upon registration. If you use CB then it will synchronize users upon registration or if you use SMF registration. Alternatively, if you have either Joomla login or JSMF login the synchronization will occur when they login via the module. But as you have it now, with Joomla registration and only login from the forum top it will not synchronize the users.
