Joomla 1.0.14 and SMF 1.1.4 in different absolute paths
« on: February 22, 2008, 03:00:07 PM »

Hello everyone,

OK, I've recently installed Joomla 1.0.14. I previously installed SMF 1.1.4, has been installed since 1.1.4 came out...

The absolute path of SMF is:

/home/content/t/s/g/tsgcomputers/html/forum

But the path of Joomla 1.0.14 is:

/home/content/t/s/g/tsgcomputers/html/joomla

Now the installation when great, not one problem.

The Component installed fine and patched all files fine. But when I try to login via Joomla it doesn't log me in, simply goes back to the frontpage of Joomla. Also when I go ahead and click on teh 'Forum' button on the frontpage it tries to access:

/joomla/index.php

What do I have to do to get this corrected?

Thank you and God bless,
Johnathan

Also, when I check the error log for SMF 1.1.4 I get the following whenever someone tries to login with a valid username and password:

Did you read the JSMF manual? Are you using the JSMF login module?

OK, first I've upgraded to Joomla 1.0.15.

I've installed the SMF 3.03 component.

I've installed the SMF-Login Module.

I've told the component to use SMF for the registration and to use Joomla-SMF for login.

I was able to sync the usernames but no one can log into the portal. I also went ahead and created a new user within the portal, that went fine, but they can't login.

I also turned on debug and I get this:

Onle get this once however:
Quote
Error loading headers cache
Error loading keywords cache
Error loading css cache
loading headers

Get this a bunch of tiems:
Quote
SEARCH: var smf_scripturl = "http://forum.tsgcomputers.net/index.php";
REPLACE: var smf_scripturl = "http://forum.tsgcomputers.net/index.php";var jsmf_scripturl = "http://portal.tsgcomputers.net/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=36&";var jsmf_quoteurl = "http://portal.tsgcomputers.net/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=36&";
STATUS: Not found in buffer

What does that status mean?

Some say that the status was: Found and Repalced. Is this something that works in the background until it is finished?

Also, yes, I did read the manual for the component.

Thank you and God bless,
Johnathan

I've installed the SMF 3.03 component.

As far as I know there is no SMF 3.03 component. You need JSMF 2.0.2.1, please search the forum for it.

Sorry about that... a mistype... I downloaded and installed 2.0.2. I will download 2.0.2.1 and see if that helps.

OK, great 2.0.2.1 worked. That is awesome. Thank you very much.

God bless,
