ok... problem with the cb/joomla/smf bridge...plz help
« on: December 07, 2006, 03:31:12 AM »

Hi there,

i got a ... nasty problem with the bridge...

Ok.. Joomla installed, CB installed, SMF-Joomla-Bridge installed... everythin fine...

But after addin the CB Plugin... the links on my page (CBProfile ans logout and stuff) always produce a forced download of my index.php and not the showing of the pages intended... can someone help?

Greetings

turn up joomla error reporting, the index.php is a fatal php error most likely and joomla is suppressing the error.  Post the error.

nope...
no error report...

when i patch the index-files and turn the cb-plugin on, the links for member list and profile, login and logout just produce an empty index.php my thunderbird wants to download.

when i log in the forum, i'm also logged in into joomla... but no error report.

you will need to check your php error_log on your server then.  This is normally in your joomla root, a file called error_log.  Get to it via FTP and read the last few lines.

ok first thank u for your help... but no error log  Undecided not on the server ... nowhere...
then ask your webhost to enable it.  Until you do there is no way to know for sure what problem is happening.

check the root directory, the html directory.  Do you see a file error_log in there?

basically, your web host needs to be providing you with this information.  You are paying them I assume.  There is simply no way for me to be able to tell you how your webhost has the site configured.  Sry
