Board icons on main forum page indicate about unread messages instead of no unreaded posts in it. If I enter message board with wrong icon to view topic list and go back, board icon besomes right. Whis issue appears when I read posts from "Show unread posts since last visit" page.
This happens when accessing the posts directly from the latest posts module.
...and from the Unread posts page. And it is the JSMF Bridge problem, not the forum's. I used the Orstio's bridge before and had no such problem. But Orstio's bridge has other problems I tired to fight with.
you're going to have to walk me through this step by step because I don't have any idea what you are talking about. Try to be as clear as possible.
What I don't understand is if you enter message board with wrong icon, what icon and why is it wrong? And what does it mean that the board becomes right?
OK. I'll try. 0. Go to the main forum page and push Mark all messages as read. 1. Users should write some new posts. 2. Go to Unread posts page (like http://operafan.net/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,50/action,unread/ ) 3. Open each unreaded topic by "New" button. 4. Go to the forum main page. You'll see something like on the screenshot. Red icons indicate about unreaded posts presence in some boards. But you already have readed all that posts. And if you go to the one of that boards no unreaded post will be. If you return to the main foum page, board you just have entered will have grey icon (no unread posts).

1) viewed board listing page and some icons were "on" 2) mark as read on board listing page 3) viewed board listing page and all icons were "off" 4) replied to a topic 5) viewed board listing page and all icons were "off"
It appeared to be working correctly in that regards. Do the replies have to be from another user? Also, I am running a newer release and that may have something to do with these links, although the changes I made don't appear to affect them.
4. Don`t you! But other people should write. 5. After somebody write a post, it will be undeaded to you. You whould read that post through "Show unread posts since last visit" page by "New" link. 6. After reading go to main forum page and you`ll see icon still was "on". But post already readed by you!

Actually this problem has been around ever since the beginning i think i just chose to ignore it since it's quite minor.
Here's a simpler way to duplicate it (via recent topics module): 1) Make sure all boards and posts are read (or mark as read) 2) User_A makes a new post in General Board 3) User_B click on the new post made via the recent topics module 4) Now, since User_B has already read the new post made by User_A through Step 3 (which incidentally is also the *only* new post in this experiment), the General Board (that User_A's post resides in) should show up as "all read" to User_B right? 5) Wrong! User_B goes to forum index via Joomla's menu link, and voila he sees the New Post icon for General Board. 6) User_B will then proceed to enter General Board again, only to find that there isn't any unread post actually. 7) He leaves General Board and goes back to Board Index, and now Discussion Board shows as "all read".
Probably some table updating that got missed

I couldn't replicate, but that may be a couple of things, one, logging in and out affects the test or running the tests on localhosts make some sort of a difference. Either way, the recent topics module is producing a slightly wrong link.
Code:
SMF link -> /component/option,com_smf/Itemid,26/topic,6.msg20/#new recent topics -> /component/option,com_smf/Itemid,26/topic,6.0/#new
This could be reason for at least that part of this problem.
Oh, and by the way -- you do, too! I've read and replied to this topic via the Recent Topics on the Joomlahacks.com frontpage, and when i checked the forum the thread was still showing as unread ;-)

Thats no surprise, this site, not ran by me, is still on SMF 1.1RC1 and bridge release 1.0.something. The owner is waiting for JSMF 2.0 Final to upgrade.
