A newbie question, please help! thx
« on: December 01, 2006, 07:37:15 AM »

Hi,

I am a total new user for these bridging stuff. And I wish to learn more!

I got a question about briding the Joomla, SMF and CB.

After installing Joomla CMS, I should install SMF or CB first? If to install SMF first, do I have to brdige SMF and Joomla together before installing CB?

Below is my personal plan, and I do not know it will work or not, so I need advice from people here.

1. install joomla
2. install SMF on joomla's db using webinstaller
3. bridge SMF and Joomla
4. install CB
5. brdige CB and SMF
6. done

Very much Thank you,
lazo

I think its better to install CB before installing the bridge.

Ok, thanks for your suggestion.

Then below is my updated steps

1. install joomla 1.0.11 (stable release)
2. install SMF 1.1 RC3
3. install CB 1.0.2 (stable release)
4. bridge all these 3 using JSMF 2.0 RC3

Cheesy

For all the installation I will use the same mysql database.

God bless for my installation Tongue

Regards,
lazo
