avatar creation failure

When uploadgin an avatar (within specs) I get a code crash as follows

interestingly thought the image does get uploaded

this was a known bug in jsmf 2.0RC2 and the fix is posted in the JSMF 2.0RC2 thread. Or you can, and should, upgrade JSMF 2.0RC3 where this bug is officially fixed.

OK, thats strange I downloaded, unpacked and installed RC3 ?
Its the first and only install I have done - will check

I think the problem is that there is some confusion in the way the DL files are presented.

The current version is below the fold on this page:

http://www.joomlahacks.com/component/option,com_remository/Itemid,41/func,select/id,13/

...rather than being at the top of the list on this page:

http://www.joomlahacks.com/component/option,com_remository/Itemid,41/func,select/id,14/orderby,4/page,1/

I made the same mistake and it cost me many hours of frustration searching for solutions and hacking/re-hacking config files...etc.

Nevertheless, I am very thankful for this component and that I was able to discover my mistake and easily solve my problem.

I seem to still be having this problem. When i have the SMF CB Plugin Enabled in the Community Builder Component i get the error when a user tries to update their profile image. I have installed the new 2.0, and RC3 but still get the same issues. I am running CB 1.0.2 Anything else i could look at?

Thanks for any help.

Ps.. the error that i get is that when a user uploads a image they get the Popup with a 1 in it and in the background is the same txt that was posted at the beginning of this thread...

if you did install version 2.0 RC3 or 2.0 Final you would not be seeing that code. That was debugging I had put into the code and it is no longer in the code. You need to make sure you have updated correctly.
