wait, what will happen if we install SMF 1.1 Final, any errors I should know about to change immediatly? Or would it be wiser to keep RC3 until theres a new JSMF for 1.1 Final?

I get these errors with 1.1 final.  Wolverine, can you point me to the location to change this 15min cache lifetime value myself?

after upgrading SMF to 1.1 final, the login module redirects users to the forum page, which remains to be modified.... any solutions available yet?

I am not sure what the issue is, but this might be a bug. The issue I have found was with JoomlaStats 2.11 Stable to 2.15 Beta, did not test anything things older.

Joomla 1.0.11
JSMF 2.0RC3
SMF 1.1 Final

Code:
PHP Fatal error:  Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 58368 bytes) in /var/www/website.com/httpdocs/components/com_joomlastats/joomlastats.inc.php on line 761, referer: http://www.jimpruett.net/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=2&board=2.0

At first it took me back, because I thought my memory_limit had changed from 16M back to 8M, verified it was 16M and in fact bumped it up to 20M to safe. Same error.. I backed out Joomlastats and began to try multiple versions, all gave me THE "BLANK PAGE OF DEATH" after trying to start a New Topic. Any help would be appreciated and for mean time I have removed JoomlaStats which is a 1st for me since I run it on somewhere near 30 sites. This is first time I have used the JSMF bridge and I like it, better integration than the phpBB+CB integration I use on 15 of my sites.

My hats go off to you Wolverine.

The cache lifetime is too long for the bridge.  I will be shortening it in the next release so the cache file shouldn't get as large as it appears to be getting on some sites.  I may look to make it configurable as well.

first off, how can I help if I have no idea which login module you are talking about.  The JSMF login module works well so if youaren't using it you might try it.

i guess you're still using jsmf login module version 2.0.1 or another outdated version. deinstall the login module and try using 2.0.3

well, there are times when the session ID gets mixed up and this might be what is happening.  If it happens again... well, I don't even know what to tell you.  It is a difficult problem to diagnose.  If it is happening rarely and/or your users aren't reporting issues you may hang on until J! 1.5 where we can adjust the way we login(hopefully).
i have one user testing my site and he has reported several ocasions of this strange thing happening.

Is there anything i could try? There used to be a list of the recommended SMF settings. Is there one list specifically for JSMF 2.0, or if not, where is the one that is valid?

Thanks,
NiCo

to continue investigating the issue with my limited knowledge, i decided to give mod_smf_login 2.0.4 a try, since most of the users seem to be using it.

-i downloaded and installed this last version of the module
-i published it and unpublished the mod_cb_login i was using.
-i modified the setting in JSMF to use JSMF validation instead of CB

as soon as i tried to login from Joomla´s frontpage i got redirected to Joomla's "you don´t have permission to access this area..." page, bein the url that appears on the browser:

http://www.mysite.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=143&action=login2&hash_passwrd=0&user=prueba&passwrd=prueba&cookielength=30

this happens with any user i try to login with if i use the JSMF login module  Cry

Any ideas?
NiCo

P.D: i really want to have the JSMF login module working to see if that solves the previously mentioned(see my post right before this one) problem.

Been looking for an answer to this all morning.  First thing, the line that it reports the fatal error from a piece of code that is custom time localization.  You may have a problem with you locale or custom time entered.  Other than that I don't know what might be conflicting on your site.  Missus is operating fine for me, but I don't have iJoomla installed.

Any progress on this issue. I have the conflict as you can see on the front page of www.eventfulholidays.com with Ijoomla. I updated Joomla-SMF Recent Topics 2.0.2
If you want I could pm you admin access details to my site, and it has JoomlaXplorer installed.

Hi...

i see in JSMF Know problems and solutions this:
Code:
# Unable to load the 'main' template error when saving admin configurations
* This problem remains unresolved however accessing the administration directly will allow you to save without this error message.

This is happening to me in JSMF 2.0RC3 and from what i have seen, it dissapears when i disable Joomla Seo.

Has it not been fixed so far in 2.0RC3?

Cheers,
NiCo

has not been fixed, but Im not sure I realized that it was tied to Joomla SEF.  Could help to track down the problem.

i use OpenSEF.

What i have seen is that disabling OpenSEF, disabling Joomla SEO, and of course reverting to the no-sef .htaccess this problem was not happening.
