if you are on a forum page during login then you will remain on a forum page.  You can set static login/logout points in the module if you want.

It is so that it would have to be but it is not so that it works!!!

Login --> OK remainder in the page in which I am!!!

We see to the logout:

I am in home page --> Logout --> and always and however returns me in forum page (wrapped) even if I planned the point static in the form.

Then see you

Hi, I have a problem that is driving me nuts;

Joomla: 1.0.11
SMF: 1.1 RC3
Bridge: 2.0 RC3

Fundamental symptom is that when I select Components> Joomla-SMS Forum> Installation I get a blank page.

There are other things going on as well:

On installing the componenet I don't get the second section of the "success" page, i.e. (referring to the user manual, page 8, figure 6) I see the three-point bulleted list, the "Support for this forum.... " line and [Continue]. I do not see the second section or the output of the 10 query operations or the "Continue to JSMF Install page" statement.

If I navigate using the admin menu bar to the admin section I see the blank page I have already mentioned.

If I uninstall the component Installers> Components> Joomla-SMF Forum = uninstall I get a blank http://mydomain.com/administrator/index2.php page. If I force a refresh of this page I get the following error message:

Code:
Uninstall - error
DB function failed with error number 0

SQL =
SELECT *
 FROM jos_components
 WHERE id = 399

       [Continue...]

The site's main index.php is the standard Joomla! index.php page. If I copy across the patched index.php from the RC3 distribution bundle the main page for the site breaks and I still get a blank page for any of the Components> Joomla-SMF Forum> Install, etc., options.

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers,

Steve

turn joomla error reporting to maximum and then try again.  Don't forget to check your php error_log as well.

Joomla 1.0.11
SMF 1.1 rc3 upg 1
JSMF 2.0 rc3

I wanted to verify these assertions

if you are on a forum page during login then you will remain on a forum page.  You can set static login/logout points in the module if you want.

I carried out the entire upgrade of jsmf2.0rc3 on other 2 present installations and I proceeded to a new installation in local.

The situation always was the same one:
FOR THE LOGOUT ALWAYS AND HOWEVER I COME REDIRECT TO THE FORUM PAGE INDEPENDENTLY FROM THE HAVE OR EXCEPT FOR PLANNED:

A) in the component of configuration of the bridge qualified either no the reindirizzamento of the login/logout;

B)in the form of login (mod_smf_login 2.0.3) introduced or except for the url of the
"Login/Logout Redirect"

C) to carry out the logout from any page

ALWAYS AND HOWEVER I COME REDIRECT TO THE PAGE OF THE FORUM that is to this address:

http: //<SITE NAME>/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=26&

Conclusion: appears obvious that the bridge and/or the form of login CONTAINS THIS BUG

Unless they do not hesitate devices or solutions done not illustrate.

Thanks

Joomla 1.0.11
SMF 1.1 rc3 upg 1
JSMF 2.0 rc3

As I said, set a static logout url in the mod_smf_login parameters.  The next version of mod_smf_login will have more help for this.

both the url that logs you into SMF and the url that logs you out begin with http: //<SITE NAME>/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=26& and if no specific return url is set either automatically in the module or statically in the module params then the redirection is to that url.  The next version of mod_smf_login will contain an automatic return url.

Wolverine: Can I help as a tester to get mod_smf_recenttopics_2_0 working? It's throwing a lot of errors. Would a listing of J! or server error logs be useful to you?

Throwing a lot of errors?  I am receiving none.  So yes, you will need to post these errors first.

Throwing a lot of errors?  I am receiving none.  So yes, you will need to post these errors first.

As previously mentioned here:
http://www.joomlahacks.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,94/topic,2365.msg11517#msg11517

the Recent Topics module does not work with certain other components, including iJoomla (commercial magazine layout component) and Missus (private messaging).

Since the module is conflicting with more than one other extension, I thought we might try to isolate the problem here before going to the other devs (if necessary). If the Recent Topics module is loaded on a page with either of those other components, it throws this error in the Joomla front end:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: () in /public_html/smf/Sources/Subs.php on line 871

Further, in the server error logs, I have PHP errors relating to my J! directory (same error 3 times) and SMF directory (same error as in front end):

[22-Nov-2006 12:14:13] PHP Notice:  Unknown column 'id' in 'where clause' in /public_html/joomla/includes/database.php on line 292
[22-Nov-2006 12:14:13] PHP Notice:  Unknown column 'id' in 'where clause' in /public_html/joomla/includes/database.php on line 292
