Does this version works on the new released SMF 1.1 Final?

I have been testing CB 1.0.2 and SMF 1.1 today and both appear to work normally without issue at this point.  I will be releasing the next version of JSMF to the testers most likely tomorrow and will ask them to test on CB 1.0.2 and SMF 1.1.  At this point, everything seems ok but if you have a live site it is recommended to run it first on a test site and/or wait for the results from the test team.

No, it doesn't.

I tested this on a forum and the following occurs:

First, the forum is installed at mydomain.com/forum - as a point of reference

I log in via joomla to the forum and the board shows correctly as http://mydomain.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,28/board,9.0/

If I try and reply to, or create a new thread, when hitting the "post" button, it redirects me back to mydomain.com/forum

To note: It does post the topic, but I am thrown out of the Joomla site and to the main install of SMF, which kinda defeats the point of the bridge.

wait a second, did you have JSMF 2.0RC3 working with SMF 1.1RC2 or RC3?  If not, then don't post it simply doesn't work with 1.1 because your problem may not be related to a 1.1RC2 or RC3 to 1.1 upgrade.  And fyi, I was posting and replying all day yesterday during my testing with J! 1.0.11, SMF 1.1, and CB 1.0.2 so I am inclined to say you have something misconfigured.

I have the same as the user asked about.

Version Information:
Your Joomla version is: 1.0.11
Your SMF version is: 1.1
Your Joomla-SMF version: 2.0 RC3

Added note: For testing purposes, this was a brand new install of both SMF (1.1) and JSMF 2.0RC3 - no upgrades on either.

It is only after the message post button is hit. I can browse the topics fine, quote topics without issue and even get to the reply screen. As soon as the "post" button is hit, though, I am thrown to the /forum url.

Hi Wolverine,

I still get the following error (reported for RC1 already, but I didn't have to check again in the meantime):
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare template_init() (previously declared in JOOMLAPATH\forum\Sources\Load.php(1702) : eval()'d code:32) in JOOMLAPATH\forum\Sources\Load.php(1702) : eval()'d code on line 57

It happens as soon as I open a board, that has a theme different from the forum main theme.
SMF runs in wrapped mode, disabling "Include CSS from SMF Theme" still yields the error. Disabling wrapped mode does not help either.
Running SMF without the bridge does not produce this error, though.

I fixed my login redirect problem from above by going into the SMF server settings and turning on "Use subdomain independent cookies".  This was the key for me as Joomla and SMF are installed in the same database but in different directories.

Once again, the devil is in the details....

hello Wolverine

okay I have installed JSFM  RC3  and have all green lights including the bridge.
only problem I have is as few people in the begining of this topic mentioned blank white screen when I want to go in to the forum.

I tried your patch in the begining of the topic but no use cant get it to go, .
this is my url if you care to look: http://ampmnet.net  its temp till I get it going.
this is the message I get : http://ampmnet.net/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=26

I realize change has to be made and could you please explaine the steps involved.
thank you

Whenever a User changes his username in Community Builder, All the old smf posts keep the old username,  and when you click on the username in SMF, it takes you to a Profile that Doesn't exist anymore.   Sad

Has this been fixed?

A blank white screen ususally signifies a fatal php error.  If you don't turn up joomla error reporting then all these error messages are hidden by joomla.  Also, check your php error_log.

Using it with smf 1.1 on a local install, everything works great! It actually worked before I read the instructions on turning off the local storage of cookies in SMF too.

Anyways, I am posting now to congratulate on an excellent addon for Joomla, and to make one feature request before the final: How about us that would like ppl to have 2 separate profiles?
I'd like people to be able to enter their smf-profile, choose an avatar and choose other settings like quick-reply etc - but I'd also like them to enter their CB-profile, choose a real image of themself on that page etc.

I would then like to have a "Site profile" and a "Forum profile" link in the login module. I can do some of these on my own if noone else wants these features, but could you at least provide an option for not rewriting all profile links in JSMF config? Thanks, and keep up the great work!

EDIT: Haha, sorry - of course I tried installing the smfprofile cb-plugin 5 minutes after writing this... I thought that plugin only showed what is already in SMF, and not allowed to edit it - but it does, so all is good! Thanks again!

BTW: A small bug in the recent topics module that is bundled with RC3: If the topic contains a special character like " or ', it is still displayed as ". I am using UTF-8 on both Joomla and SMF, international characters work fine.
