BTW: A small bug in the recent topics module that is bundled with RC3: If the topic contains a special character like " or ', it is still displayed as ". I am using UTF-8 on both Joomla and SMF, international characters work fine.
Try 2.0.1 that is in the remository.  I fixed this bug for someone else.  It is newer than the one in the JSMF 2.0RC3 package.

Hi.

Iīm installing a web site under the following site config:

- Joomla! 1.0.11
- CB 1.1
- SMF 1.1 Final

All this software is Actually running in Spanish Language. I donīt have problems with Synchronizing users. But when i Log on the web under any method (mod_cblogin) or (mod_smf_login) the page apparently logs. But when i click on the "Forum", the page shows me the following errors(Debug mode Activated on  Joomla-SMF Forum Bridge):

Well. My question is, Is this a misconfiguration error, or is a bug.

Thank You and Great Work.

Hey wolverine..

I did get RC3 but the link to the user guide is broken..

Quote
The requested URL /downloads/jsmf_user_guide_2_0_RC3_1.pdf was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Thanks..  I just need a direct link to the user guide.

Thanks... KFE

Hey wolverine..

For some reason there are no download links in the repository..  I can see the file details page and even the add comment box but I cannot see anywhere to download the file (I have tried logging out then back in with no luck)... This goes for all the items in the repository..  I had to download the package from the forum link...  Is there a direct link to the pdf guide you can post in the forum? I attached a screenshot of the page i get..

Thanks..

No, it doesn't.

I tested this on a forum and the following occurs:

First, the forum is installed at mydomain.com/forum - as a point of reference

I log in via joomla to the forum and the board shows correctly as http://mydomain.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,28/board,9.0/

If I try and reply to, or create a new thread, when hitting the "post" button, it redirects me back to mydomain.com/forum

To note: It does post the topic, but I am thrown out of the Joomla site and to the main install of SMF, which kinda defeats the point of the bridge.

Are you sure that SMF's index.php is patched by the bridge? People play with SMF and forget to patch! =)

I am speaking about the JSMF recent topics module in that msg.  It is currently at 2.0.2 and a few problems were resolved in it.  Yes it is in the remository.

the lifetime of the cache is set to 15 minutes, and because the cache is dynamic in the sense that the more pages you view during those 15 minutes the larger the cached value becomes.  I have reduced the cache lifetime to avoid this scenario and this will be in the next release.

wait, what will happen if we install SMF 1.1 Final, any errors I should know about to change immediatly? Or would it be wiser to keep RC3 until theres a new JSMF for 1.1 Final?
