You're right I did put it in the htaccess.txt, I can't find the other.
I'll have to look tonight again.
I still don't have your PMs, and I guess you never got mine either. Would you mind sending me a PM through my forums http://www.gamerztheatre.com/forum

Or send me an email to rtcwca@yahoo.ca

I'll be back on my computer at 8pm EST tonight (or 15 hours after this post).

Netfirms told me they are workin on trying to fix it. Have you ever heard of 1and1?

I've already been considering a donation amount.  Smiley

Hey Guys, this looks like the same error that I had some time back

### win patch ###
http://www.joomlahacks.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,94/topic,2384.msg11618#msg11618

I just had it again, and it is because I am using a windows box (though I'm curious to see if any other windows boxes are acting the same). So far my edits have been on:

components/com_smf/smf.class.php around line #1564 (search for subs.php)
and
admin.../components/com_smf/admin.smf.class.php

comment out: require_once($jsmfConfig->smf_path . '/Sources/Subs.php');
read the win patch above, copy and paste.

this has worked for me.

I would just like to update everyone.
My Joomla-SMF bridge works great. The Discussbot is awesome. Everything is perfectly tied in together, Joomla, CB, SMF and my articles to the forums.

p9939068 has been awesome fixing the problems that I created. He's been a tremendous help and taught me a lot.

Thanks for all your help p9939068, and thanks Wolverine and everybody involved for the Joomla-SMF Bridge and Joomla-SMF Discussbot.

Tom, is there anything that sticks out in your mind that could be improved in the JSMF user guide to help address any possible confusion?  If so, lemme know so I can try to make it more clear.  Thanks!  Glad you got it working!

The guide is perfect. I wanted to install Discuss Bot and did not know there were two Bridges.

I'm new to Joomla, SMF and bridges. There are so many versions of Joomla, SMF, CB and the two bridges and trying to figure out what the most current and compatable was tough.  I just found myself spending hours, jumping back and forth from here Joomlahacks, to Joomla.org to Simple Machine.org to Joomlapolis and back again. It got very confusing.
Your guide could not be more perfect. I simply downloaded the wrong bridge and didn't know about the guide. The only thing that would have made it easier, for me, was if there had been a package of the most current and compatible versions available, in order of installation. Something like this.

Most current package
Joomla version: 1.0.11
Community Builder 1.01 (Optional)
SMF version: 1.1 RC3
Joomla-SMF version: 2.0 RC3
Joomla-SMF User Guide 2.0RC3

(Optional)
SMF Discussbot 2.0.1
Mod Joomla-SMF Recent Topics 1.7.1

Including links to the downloads would be even better, knowing I would be getting the right versions..
Had I found a package like this, combined with your guide, the installation would have been a considerably easier and quicker.
