What registration form to use?
« on: November 15, 2006, 02:56:04 PM »

I have Joomla, CB and SMF installed. Which registration form should I use?

I currently have bridge selected, but now I'm wondering if it should be CB?
If I decide to go CB can I still change it? I sync'd Joomla users to SMF, if that is a factor.

Sorry for all the questions, but I definitely appreciate the help.

One more thing, in the readme it says

The bridge registration form looks very much like the default Mambo/Joomla registration, but functions quite differently. If you choose to use this option, make sure to configure the registration component as well.

Both my Simple Machines Forum Registration and SMF bridge are exactly identical, an exact carbon copy of each other. Is this normal? Do I make the same changes on both?

the bridge doesn't display any pages, it only bridges J1 with SMF.  So if you select SMF reg then guess what, you get smf registration.  If you want CB or joomla, same thing.  We simply display those.  So when you select the registration system the links are setup so that all registration links in smf are directed to your selection.

You can change this selection at any time, the bridge automatically syncs users upon registration from all three places, J!, CB, or SMF

Beautiful, so I'll leave things as they are.

Thanks again.
