'Remember me' doesn't seem to work

Joomla version is: 1.0.11
SMF version is: 1.1 RC3
Joomla-SMF version: 2.0 RC1

Closing the browser and coming back to the site seems to leave the user in a state of semi-logged in.

After closing the browser and returning to the site, the JSMF login module is logged out, but I can see the joomla content for registered users. I go to the SMF forum, I'm not logged in there. Then when I return to the joomla homepage, I'm logged out completely and don't see the registered users content anymore.

Is this a known issue?
