Cheers and keep up the good work. SMF 2.0 is excellent!

Andrew

Hey Wolverine,

Is the problem I stated above an issue that will be fixed in RC3 or is it an isolated problem that only I am having trouble with??

Cheers

other problems i've ran into:
users can not post a calendaritem, they ghet an error that the board id was not set.

when posting a new topic, and you want to announce a topic, the url is messed up: forum/index.php?action=announce;sa=selectgroup;topic=788
instead of index.php?option=com_smf&ampaction=announce&sa=selectgroup&topic=788

nope, i'm sorry

yhe link seems fine, but it's on the wrong place, a topic link is not that link
de fault of sendNotifications(): happened when trying to post a topic

in reply number 60 on this thread i already reported the problem including a screenshot so that you can see what's wrong:
http://www.joomlahacks.com/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,94/action,dlattach/topic,2566.0/attach,828/image

I have a bit of an idea what might be going on, but RC3 has more strict checking of the cache and I am suprised you are still having this problem.  I may reduce the cache points to see if I can eliminate this.  It is going to mean a slightly delayed RC3 for everyone, but I'd rather get the bug out than release it in a bad state Sad

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 16777216 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 54666 bytes) in /components/com_smf/smf.class.php on line 327

Forum unreacheable after three days of running JSMF 2.0 RC3, the caching might be the problem i guess.
SOlution was to resave the installation config.

installed latest release last night (RC3 build 2) of JSMF and again URLS get transformed into the wrong, a normal topic link is now something like this:
component/option,com_smf/Itemid,140/action,quickmod/board,25.0/actions[659],sticky/sesc,2cfe3c8bd096ae1350618ac7b1d3e699/

some topic links are not there also.
When i click on admin to go the the administration side of smf i go to a topic instead of the adminpage.

so my problem still persists all the way on, i need to resave the config every time of JSMF to resolve the issue (cache gets recreated after saving?). What can be wrong?

Wolverine,

I upgraded to RC2 today, and since I am getting the following when users try to change their CB Image/Avatar:

A white page appears with the following, then the page refreshes itself back to the profile:

Edit Your Details
moscomprofiler Object ( [id] => 62 [user_id] => 62 [avatar] => 62_455861c7d0f8b.jpg [avatarapproved] => 1 [approved] => 1 [confirmed] => 1 [hits] => 1010 [_tbl] => #__comprofiler [_tbl_key] => id [_error] => [_db] => database Object ( [_sql] => UPDATE mos_comprofiler SET avatar='62_455861e0b33d2.jpg', avatarapproved=1, lastupdatedate='2006-11-13T12:15:28' WHERE id='62' [_errorNum] => 0 [_errorMsg] => [_table_prefix] => mos_ [_resource] => Resource id #13 [_cursor] => 1 [_debug] => 0 [_limit] => 0 [_offset] => 0 [_ticker] => 0 [_log] => Array ( ) [_nullDate] => 0000-00-00 00:00:00 [_nameQuote] => ` ) )

It seems to load the image into CB, but no thumbnail is generated on the CB Module or on the forum.

Also on this white page with the above text, a box pops up with just "1" in it and an "OK" button.  Clicking "OK" lets the page refresh.

you'll have to give me access to the site, I haven't been able to recreate this problem and several large sites have not reported any issues, so I am at a loss on your site.  Did you disable function caching?

disable function caching

that was put in for just this kind of thing, as a way for me to test a specific function call which appears to be the root of this problem.
