Ok i want to assign a template to my cb profiles, its just the standard site template with the right modules taken out, This is so i can get more room for a detailed profile in CB. This is simple to do in joomla, all i do is assign the template to the profile menu link in the site templates manager, but when i use the redirect profile option in the bridge it directs the links correctly but obviously its to the profile page without the assigned template, Is there anyway for me to change this so that it will redirect the profile links to cb profile with the template assigned?
oh boy, I have no idea about templates for the profiles and haven't used them before(can you guess why it isn't working?). Post an example link of a profile with the template enabled and one without. This may or may not be possible(without crippling your system performance).
Its not the actual internal CB profiles im talking about, Its the joomla assign a profile to a menu link im talking about, you do it in the joomla back end, site, template manager choose the template then hit the assign button, you can then select a menu link to assing the template to. I want to assign a version of my main front page template with the left and right modules removed to my cb profiles and this works with the menu link but is there a way to make it work with the profile links in the forum. Here is a link to the forum on my site with the template assigned to it http://fit-physiques.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=33. If you compair it to my front page you will see the left and right modules are missing.
So anybody got any ideas about this, I dont think it would be that complicated as it would only really be redirecting links would'nt it? Id really like to be able to start moveing forwards on this but im just not clued up enough
ok, here is the deal..... generally speaking there is no Itemid because a joomla itemid signifies a menu item link. And CB does not create a menu item link. I assume you have done this manually to facilitate your extra template? What I will do is simply check if there is an itemid, if there is add it, otherwise don't.
Im not 100% sure i understand what your saying, I added a link to the profile in my main menu then applied the template to that menu link. Are you saying your going to get the smf bridge to check to see if there is a itemid link? Sorry for not replying sooner iv been away.
