big problem with user synchronisation
« on: October 23, 2006, 01:33:54 PM »

Hi,
i have followed system:
joomla 1.0.11, smf 1.1 rc3 and joomla smf forum 1.1.4.2.

in smf (smf_members) i have 808 users, in jos_users are 808 users too, but in jos_core_acl_aro are only 454 entries and in jos_core_acl_groups_aro_map are 455 entries.

Therefore, in my user manager in the joomla backend, i can only see 417 users, these are the results 401-450. If i click on "next" or "End" in the user manager, i can see only a blank page. (Display # is 50, the pages, that are working, are the pages 1 to 9... page 10, 11, ... are blank, no users are listed.)

I need help to fix my database tables jos_core...
Using "Synchronize Joomla and SMF users" don' solve the problem..

any ideas??

make backups... then truncate your Joomla table and sync.  But I suggest using JSMF 2.0RC1 or RC2 which should be available in the next couple days.

now i have installed RC2, but the usersync (usernames) don't solve my problem, i can allways see only 456 User (from 848) in the usermanager in joomla-backend.
what should i do now? truncate the both tables jos_users and jos_core_acl_aro tables?

you need to be careful to truncate them, make sure you still have your administrator account.  essentially you need to delete the users from joomla and resync
