can't patch mambo index.php file

I can't patch the mambo index.php file even thought its rightable it still stays

Failed: /home/animezo/public_html/index.php file or the parent path is not writeable!


It made sure it was writable and it still didnt work !!

Also for the "Forum URL" it is blank and it says please post a menu , what am i suppose to do?

Er for got to add : Mambo version 4.4.4
joomla smf hack 1.0.2

er smf version, latest version got it off the site today
