Joomla SMF login Redirect doesn't work

Hi!
I've been trying to redirect a user to the comprofiler on login, but the redirect just doesn't seem to work. It always redirects to main page after login.
If I use the "Redirect to Forum on login" option from the back-end forum configuration, then I'm beeing redirected to ".../index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=41&option=com_smf&Itemid=41&", which doesn't seem quite healthy either, but still at least shows some movement.

Do you have any ideas?

Version Information:
Your Joomla version is: 1.0.11
Your SMF version is: 1.1 RC3

You might want to check your "login Module" settings. Go to your joomla backend for that.

I had the same problem, but forgot that in my Loging Module, i had specified a redirect page already. If there's anything there, delete it, and the JSMF redirect option should work now. Cool

Unfortunaly, it doesn't help.
The Login Module is not published and the redirection line is empty.

which login module is this occurring from? You said in your initial post(or eluded too) that you were using JSMF login. Now you are saying it isn't published. Which is it?

The native Joomla login is not published.
Your JSMF login module is published and works quite fine except of redirecting

I'm having the same or similar problem here.

I hit the forum menu bar and am redirected to the forum (unwrapped)

when i loggin to the forum, I automatically get redirected back to home page rather than staying in the forum.

I will pm my email just in case this applies to me too.

Hi - I am having the exact same problem.

Basically if someone logs in/out with SMF they are redirected to the homepage. This is regardless of settings in control panel (e.g. redirect, login modules, etc). I don't use any login modules, in fact, except for admins, the only login is for smf.

Any ideas?

Seems to be an odd problem.

If I login to the joomla site using either the smf bridge login or the cb login the smf users online module reports 1 member online. However when I click on the forum link it logs me out.

So some further inforamtion:

Using the usual forum entry points seems to log the user out of the forum and CB.

What I have found that works is a menu item with a link-url to the forum. Actually it is a poor work around as you lose most of the integration (no profile links, no Joomla PM system etc). However you do stay logged in.
