I found that same notice when googling the error message. Except that I am on 4.3.9 - the version before the one that is supposed to have the bug.
I am on a managed version of UNIX (RHEL 4) so I need to stay with the version of the PHP on the system.
I also found a few items outlining functions equivalent to unpack.
I run a lot of php software, some of it must use the unpack function, are you sure there isn't something specific to the data or the use of the command in your software? It seems like many others are having this problem and just haven't looked in their log files to find the error message I found.
I am using PHP 4.4.4. Am I out of luck? This component is a great idea- but does not work for me either. Does not look like we have budged here? I'd pay for this component if I thought it would work.
Got the same problem, everything looks fine but the email is not sent. I have now tested on both PHP 4 and PHP 5.2 with Joomla 1.0.12, both locally on my test server and online.
It seems that there is something with the $sendmail function. A good guess is that it is the code that is there to protect the link is what causing the problem.
This software is not "free" as it requests a donation to remove the link and it is pretty useless with the link. Joomlahacks doesn't seem to care about their customers or their reputation. If they can't handle "free" properly, how bad do they handle paying customers?
I am going to move on and find something else. No meaning to waste time on Joomlahacks useless software. I think my time is as important and valuable as cowboys time is.
I have the exact same problem. Click send and same screen appears and no emails were sent. Joomla! 1.0.13 PHP Version 5.1.6 Can someone please help me? I like this Comp a lot!
