JACL and JSMF 2.0 Beta

try it with JACL, let me know how it goes.

Installed JACL, and while it's not interfering with the bridge, it's definately not integrated as far as I can tell.

It might just be my inexperince with SMF or CB, but does the bridge usually syncronize the default ACL groups from Joomla?  I don't see any options in SMF or the bridge component to link the standard user groups to any newly created groups in SMF...

Ira

ps (should I move this to a new topic? )

No, the bridge does not do ACL or group synchronization.  Group synchronization is on the roadmap for 2.1.  I'd love to have your help in testing the functionality with JACL as well.

I'd be glad to help beta test when you start working on 2.1.

Unfortunately, after spending 2 months of development for this corporate site I'm building, it seems like I might have to scrap Joomla all together.  There are just too many limitations in terms of ACL, categorization, etc.  I've spent over $1000 on 3rd party components and modules to overcome these "shortcomings" (k, may not be shortcomings for all, but definately for my current needs), and still can't get the results I need.   Sad

Tx very much for your help and keep up the amazing work,

Ira
