Is there a Horizontal Menue mod or component?

Just wondering if there is a special module or component for a horizontal menu bar.  I've seen some great designs with a horizontal menu and would like to incorporate that into my site.
I can build a java menu with drop downs if I have to, but would prefer not too.

How does everyone else do it?
