how do i move my website from www.domain.com TO www.domain.com/something?

Move all the files to /something
Then edit your joomla configuration.php file and change the document root reference... for "mosConfig_absolute_path", "mosConfig_cachepath"

I'm assuming you only got Joomla and no other apps...
