I am guessing that Amember uses a separate table than the default joomla table.  Did you try and synchronize the users in the backend? 

Here you are the Spanish version for SMF_login 1.4.2

I have the same problem. If I logout, redirect not work correct. Link look at 
option,com_smf/Itemid,451/action,logout/sesc,7fc097725041724c2a7fc17e62d45f9c/
and the page cannot be displayed. I have installed OpenSEF component. Maybe problems is here? Please help me! Pleased any idea!
