Hi there,
I read somewhere on the previous posts that joomla+smf+VM does not work. Do you mean Virtue Mart and if so, can you tell me are you planning for releasing a version which will work with virtue mart. I was trying to install the 1.4.2 bridge for a few days now and I had to restore a backup because everything went down.

I'm using:
 Joomla! 1.0.10 Stable [ Sundown ]
 SMF 1.1 RC2
 com_joomla_smf_1_1_4_2

I have no idea what you just said was broke.  If you can describe the problem better I can probably help.

I'm installing the recomended bridge - JSMF 2.0, patching, synchronizing and then it makes the forum my main page, even it is not specified within the admin panel, also it is messing with the Virtuemart, when you follow the Buy button it gives an 404 error. Do you need a link and passwords to access it and take a look, I have currently disabled the bridge as it makes my website unusable.

The home page issue is probably the Forum link being created as the first item in your Main Menu.  The first item in your main menu is what joomla defaults to as your home page.

To the VM problem... strange, haven't encountered that.  Send me a link and un/pw via pm but I cannot guarantee I can get to it right away.

Hello!

I just installed the SMF forum and the Bridge. I also have CB installed. Now everything is working fine except....SMF is not taking over my joomla users. When I use the synchronize option it says it synchronized succesfully but....when we are going back to the Forum we still have only one user...the administrator.

While reading this topic I installed the "Joomla-SMF_cb_plugin_1_0_1"
But this doesn't change anything.

Hope someone can help me out!

Tnx in advance.

First i have to say thanks for all the hard work on this bridge stuff! The little people of the world such as myself appreciate it immensely! I am trying to get the login to work but i notice that i get an error on line 90

require($mosConfig_absolute_path."/administrator/components/com_smf/config.smf.php");

it appears after looking in this path that i am missing this config.smf.php? Please feel free to toss rocks at me, because im sure this has an obviously simple solution?

I have just installed
Joomla 1.0.12 integrated with SMF 1.1.3

A login problem we are having is that after registration, and users are taken back to the login page, an error appears that says "You are unable to log in, check your cookie settings".

However, when I ck in the Admin panels I see that the people are indeed registered and can go in when they log in.

How do I go about removing that error message?  It makes people think that they cannot log in when they indeed can.

Thank you.  I am very new at this.

Why posting in the forums of the Old Bridge. It is better to go to the 2.0 forums of the Bridge
