I am having the same problems as you, Alphadog.  I am using Joomla 1.0.10, SMF 1.14, CB 1.0RC2

I did some more digging, and what is really odd, is in the MYSQL tables, for smf_members, some of the new members have their passwords listed in the Email column and their email listed in the Password Column.

Could this be part of the problem?

My newer users are getting the "YOu are not authorized to view this..." Error, when they try to login...

I think you should use CB 1.0 RC1! That's the new version!

After upgrading to J! 1.0.10, J!-SMF 1.1.4 and J!-SMF_Login 1.4.2 I have problems with accessing the "Awaiting Activation" under Manage Members. When clicking it a popup window appears with the message "Your account has been successfully activated. You can now proceed to login." insted of showing users awaiting activation. After that the Joomla frontpage loads. This problem does not occur running the forum unwrapped or with SEO activated. Not sure if this is Joomla or Joomla-SMF related. Anyone else with the same problem?

Joomla! 1.0.10
Joomla-SMF 1.1.4
Joomla-SMF_Login 1.4.2
SMF 1.1RC2
this will be fixed in the next version of the bridge.  For now, if you access SMF directly you should be able to activate the users.

That doesn't look like our SMF login module.  What version is it?  I suspect you have the login module installed from the other bridge.  Ours has everything optional, so you can have as much or as little clutter as you want.  You can download the latest version here:

Joomla-SMF Login 1.4.2

Hi wolverine,
In the last days I experienced a small bug(Huh) in jsmf. What happens is that a user has the jsmf menu items(like recent topics and so on) but does not have  the normal user menu (both are only shown to registered members, or at least should only be displayed to registered ones).
I think that this happens when the "remember me" check box is not checked, the user leaves the page, returns later and then the menu items are not visible to him but the jsmf links are.
I'm not sure, it's just an idea...

that sounds exactly like what would happen if the SMF default session lifetime is longer than the joomla default session lifetime.

i installed Joomla-SMF Bridge 1.1.4 and module came with it, mod_smf_login, version 1.1.4, yesterday i tried to install login module 1.4.2 and it wouln't work i couldn't login, and all i had was the two boxes to fill in my username and pass even though i checked everything to "show" and my username or pass wouldn't work, but it works with the one i got with the joomla-smf bridge, exceptt it just has too many things around it and i wanted to clean it up a bit.

ahhh, we don't package our login module with the bridge, so you must be using the bridge from simplemachines.org.  The login module I sent you is designed to work with our bridge, v1.1.4.1 available  here.  I do not think it will work with the simplemachines.org bridge.
