after integration of the SMF forum to Joomla + CB then sync the users of SMF to CB.
the user can login on the forum but login on the CB Login .. it says " Incorrect username or password. Please try again."
the only way my users can login on the CB Login .. they need first to login to the forum and go back to the main site (joomla frontpage) as they are already login .. weird! and i ask them to update their password at User Menu >> Your Details. After this they can login already at CB Login and also at Forum. Or the Lazy way is go to "Lost Password?" to send them new password.
hmmm, what a pain! I'm not quite sure how that would happen though, but there is some fuzzy logic in there that was put in before I inherited the bridge. If you had the users in CB first, it might be worth deleting all but the admin user from SMF and then the sync would go from CB to SMF, which I think is a bit more robust in terms of handling the password copy. Robust as it can be when dealing with two vastly different methodologies of encrytping and storing the passwords.
After upgrading to 1.0.9 and upgrading the bridge (as described in topic on this forum), login isn't possible anymore with the CB login module (1.0 Stable)
- Joomla 1.0.9 - CB 1.0 Stable - SMF 1.1 RC2 - OpenSEF 2.0.0 RC5 - Joomla-SMF updated as described in topic.

its really a painful thing.. explaining to all my users how to login back and how to fix so they can login. so the above dirty fix is the only way they can login back to the site. after updating the password .. everything will be fine.
the biggest problem you all should realize is that both systems use encryption that is NEVER meant to be decrypted(it's actually impossible). So a password sync is not really something that can be done easily. I believe, and I would have to dig into the code again to make sure, that what we do is insert a dummy password into the receiving system. Then, when the first login is attempted the password(if verified by the sending system) is encrypted and put into the receiving system. So there may be something there that I need to clean up with the CB login, I'd have to double check. I will try and investigate tonight if I can get some time to work on it.
