Changing the news format on the home page

Does anyone here know how to change the way the news is displayed so I can have more than 3 articles displayed on the homepage. I also want it so every article looks the same instead of the most recent article stretching across the content section and the next two only splitting it. I would like every article to stretch across the content section.

For the 2nd issue, you'd have to change the template layout to make each article look the same.

Go to the Menu menu in your admin panel and select your main menu and then select Home or "Component - FrontPage" and check the Parameters on the right.
