This is how it must be. 0 is for unlimited.

Really? I thought 0 meant 0 characters to quote? Huh That's how I interpret it, and that is how the discussbot by chadness worked. I would really like to be able to not quote anything. How can I do that?

hmmm, not sure why...  Guess I don't follow the logic.  Right now you can't do that.  We can build something into a future release to deal with that.

yes.Yeah, is a nice Spambot  Cool I've got ~200 "New" [News]Threads in less than 24h, really funny. Also this confusion about posts like: [News]Happy Christmas 2004! or [News]Service Pack1 for WindowsXP Now available. He, the last 3 days i cant sleep while laughed all the time about Replys like "Is X-mas now in Jun?" funny, funny, funny...

HAHA. Well, that's especially weird... the forum topic is created when someone looks at the news. So, someone out there was looking at your Christmas 2004 news and triggered the forum creation. Strange.

Actually, if auto create is on the forum topic is created the moment a content story is published with the tag.  If you have 200 old stories with the tag that noone ever clicked on(hence no topic) the auto create is making topics for those.  At least that is what I have seen.  Is that what you intended Kevin?

That would be great! Thanks! Smiley

Read the usage for the bot, you need only use the right trigger to have the topic in a different board.

Found some more tags that the bot doesn't handle

h1, h2, h3, etc.

backslashses '\' aren't handled correctly either.  We need to add these pattern matches for the next release

Any idea when this will be addressed?? I cannot use this until it is. I am getting /h, /b, /pre, ‘, ’, “ not parsed, but displayed instead.

Hope it can be fixed soon, I dumped joomlaboard mainly cuz it's discussbot is weak, as is the rest of it actually.....

It is in development currently... actually the entire bridge and all modules are currently being reworked for the next release of Joomla-SMF.  It shouldn't be more than a month.

Hello,

I am trying to make it work with the smf.discussbtn, but they do not seem to work together. Either the one, or the other.

Has anyone attempted to use them together?

the button was designed for Chadness' smf discussbot so I am not sure it works with our discussion bot.

if i enable - yes the following:

Discuss all content:      Yes   No
Automatically Create:    Yes No

and if i also manually add {mos_smf_discuss:General Discussion} in the article the result would... there will be no link and it will show {mos_smf_discuss:General Discussion} as text.

if i disable.. it works to display the links to forum. but i have problem working it with OpenSEF? it cause 404 and when i go back to the forum its posted.

Quote
the result link on navigation toolbar is: http://www.somedomain.com/some_forum/topic,4.new#new/

Not Found
The requested URL /some_forum/topic,4.new was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

is SMF Discussbot 1.4.3 will work on OpenSEF? can we use instead of Article: Some article title .. we use like Re: Some article title.

I've kind of solved this by leaving the field for the default board empty and saying no to the first two radio boxes.

The discuss bot is working with joomla content but it does not seem to be working with Joomla Bookmarks.  Any suggestions.

i also solve my problem.. same with your statement above. i just report some problems maybe they could release a patch in the future if the user prefer automatic creation for the Default Board and also has the option to choose {mos_smf_discuss:Other not Default Board}.

my problem with OpenSEF still exist? does anyone has a fix? maybe if i turn off the OpenSEF it will work. But i'm building a SEF friendly site and doing some SEO to make the site higher ranking in SERPs.
