Hello,

I have the following problem with the Discussbot.

My board's names are all in Greek (except one)

When i enter {mos_smf_discuss:[a greek board name]} it will not work (i get a message the board name cannot be found)

When i enter the one english name board, it works.

Any workaround to this?

A suggestions i have to make here is to use board's IDs instead of names. That way we can be sure that it will work on all languages.

The problem using board ID's is that I don't know the ID's offhand.  Meaning when I write an article I'm not going to do {mos_smf_discuss:4} because I really don't know what board 4 is.  Part of this also is partially due to the fact that SMF doesn't have UTF-8 support.  It is built into RC3 however that is not a final release and there may be problems.  Either way, I will look into a better way and if I can find one I will implement it.

Any idea when this will be addressed?? I cannot use this until it is. I am getting /h, /b, /pre, ‘, ’, “ not parsed, but displayed instead.

Hope it can be fixed soon, I dumped joomlaboard mainly cuz it's discussbot is weak, as is the rest of it actually.....

Are we getting closer to a new release yet?? I was hoping for a solution to the tags displaying instead of parsing problem.

Would using a different editor to publish the content in Joomla help at all?? Or is is definitly the mambot's parsing that is the problem...

Would it be possible to have the bot be able to work in the reverse direction?? So when you make a post in the forum it could pop it into joomla content like latest news or newsflash for example??

That would certainly be pretty cool.....

 Cool
